Also, if 60 Minutes did a realistic portrayal of her life, then she has seen some hard times: married a non-Anglo man (possibly Muslim), who dumped her, left her with a child, ended up on welfare, ran her benefits or resources to their limit, but had the internal fortitude to try to make her dream (writing a book) come true. Impressive!
