It seems increasingly like Sheehan, bundled up in her warm leftist cocoon, didn't realize how far out of the mainstream her 'Jews lied-kids died' ranting (to ABC Nightline) really was.
And before her handlers could get to her, she made a straight forwardly falsifiable statement on CNN in a desperate attempt to make her seem more reasonable.
And when that statement didn't pass the smell test, she used the faux stubborn 'well I just don't know what happened' excuse so familiar to schoolyard teachers chiding misbehaving students.
But national news is an entirely different level, and Sheehan apparently thought she was still in the supportive echo chamber of the anti-war left.
She did quite a bit more than subtly implying that ABC News was lying--and now that their credibility is on the line they have incentive to bury her for her increasingly uncompelling backtracks.
Across the board, she just doesn't seem to appreciate the stakes invloved in her posturing.
She's coming off like an amateur, one supporting the most craven and vulgar conspiracy theories of the anti war Left.

I saw nightline yesterday. It was a blame the Jews fest!! C-Span yesterday had on a muslim arab who claimed to be a Palestinian. The call screener only let on those who would blame the Jews!

after listening to her rants and watching her actions, i have no sympathy for her at all!!!! It is almost as if her sons death has given her the forum she was always looking for. My sympathy goes to her family and especially her husband for having to put up with this wench for all those years. just seeing pictures of her makes me want to jump onto the screen and bitch slap her

I'm suprised its taken this long for the mainstream media to take serious notice of how she said ABC were outright liars.
