"Ron Paul is a genius"...I sincerely doubt that. He's just another politician. Ask Neil Boortz, another libertarian, what he thinks about Paul's stance. I'm a Republican who used to be a Dem. There are no genius politicians. But some will keep us safer from our enemies than others. Ron Paul obviously won't.

Huh? I never called Ron Paul a genius. He is certainly a hero and a man of principle, however. Though he is a superb campaigner (hence his repeated victories), he is not a vote-grubbing politician. Back in the 1980s, for example, Paul used to vote against NASA even though many people in this district worked for the Houston space center. There are many examples like this. Ron Paul, unlike most of his colleagues, is not afraid to go against the tide.
Neal Boortz, of course, is entitled to call himself a "libertarian" just as much as Hillary Clinton is entitled to call herself a "moderate." I disagree with both claims.

Remember, any politician can be wrong...including your hero. Keep that in mind. I'm a big Bush fan and a supporter of the war against terrorism. That doesn't mean I favor unrestricted use of force or military action in every situation. However, unfortunately there are times when there is no other choice. This is one of them. I knew we'd eventually have to deal with Hussein again after the first Gulf war. And at that time I was a Dem and didn't vote for Bush senior. Nothing has changed my mind that we did the right thing in removing Hussein. In my view it's a pay me now or pay me a lot more later scenario.
Again remember those who say we shouldn't try to impose democracy on sovereign nations apparently forgot that we did just that to Japan, Italy, and Germany. None of this will be easy, but it is necessary.

It's one thing to demand a plan and another to furnish a plan.
