I was kind of worried what the reaction might be to my WTG Bob, but I am well envious. I am stuck having to watch what they want me to watch, he actually had a say in what he did not want to watch.
I was talking to my beloved earlier. I had mentioned how frustrated I was with the endless coverage of a case that I have no way to make a difference in, other than prayers. I know it is the job of her mom to keep the story at the front but goodness give us some news. It is the same news just wrapped with different paper.
My heart is heavy when I think, why the hell aren't these cable hosts (not sure they are journalists) taking time to talk about Matt Maupin? The young man, who did his parents proud, who joined the military, who was snatched over a year ago. Who has not been heard from and who has been recently promoted.
Where are the cracker jack investigative reporters? Greta, Joe, Geraldo, Bill the list goes on. There is no news on the MIA/POW SGT Maupin, but, hell shouldn't he be right up there and again I cannot do anything to help, but lets be fair, the parents of Maupin must be in deep despair. They have not bitched to the President like Sheehan, they are waiting patiently for their son to return through their front door.
But, oh yeah, we need to talk about Natalee, I guess her mother is much more important than military mom, who's son is somewhere, anywhere, sound familiar, yeah, sounds like Natalee but it is just some military guy.
I am pissed I am beyond pissed. I want folks to join with me, to say enough is enough. If you disagree about the coverage that is OK, but let's just get SGT Maupin's name back on the front burner, write the cable shows, your local networks pick up a bracelet and wear it proudly HE IS THE ONLY MIA/POW in this war, we OWE it to him.
Cable news folks, keep going in the direction you are going and I will give the remote to the pup's to play with.

Good for him----now if only Greta would find something else to do.
The coverage of this case has been an absolute disgrace and I have been switching the channel for the last month when anything about it comes on.
