Instead of banning time-honored names of college football teams that have been around for years, let's just ban the NCAA. I'm sure that if enough colleges and universities got together and told the NCAA just where to get off this situation would quickly end, along with the NCAA.
I was thinking something similar, but more along the lines of if a school with the weight and stature as FSU. Were to tell the NCAA to pound sand and start their own sports associations. That many other schools would most likely follow.
