"It's believed that the Islamic regime's decision to destroy Cyrus' tomb "
These people are below pigs, real barbarians and savages.
This is the face of the kind of lunacy we are confronting - or NOT confronting.
I'd gladly put a bomb right in the middle of Tehran to stop this kind of desecration -and so - I imagine, would a good many Iranians.
Cyrus the Great was a Zoroastrian - the first monotheistic religion.
Mohammad's ancestors were chasing camles around the Arabian desert when Cyrus was building palaces, temples and monuments.

Mohammad's ancestors were chasing camles around the Arabian desert when Cyrus was building palaces, temples and monuments. I like this!
Thanks for saying it!

the tomb of "Cyrus the Great" and "Persepolis" would be submerged under water. As opposed to "submerged" over water?
Today is officially "National Punctuation Day". Close enough to make a remark about gratuitous repetetive redundancy.

Oh, this is awful.No.
This is an opportunity for American billionaires to do something useful with their spare change.
Buy it all up, block by block, and ship it all to Arizona to keep company with the London Bridge. Surely, we've got some extra space in need of a good tourist trap.

Yup...these sites are on my To-see-before-I-die list. The whole history of the Persian Empire is very impressive. I am baffled why the Persians embraced an imported religion and were so willing to discard their own heritage. Though, I suppose Europeans forsake their heritage for an imported religion also.

Reminds me of the Taliban blowing up those buddas right before 9/11 This might turn out quite differently.
Unless the sandmaggots start blowing up each persian national treasure, they might discover that that dam dam may be harder to build and take much longer than planned; hundreds of years, even.
