Curious about this urban legend, I googled it to see what would come up. I rather wish I hadn't:
http://www.afro.com/history/million/lynch/lynch.html#reacts
The reactions on this site make me sick. Either they swallowed the whole lie, hook line and sinker, or they said "It doesn't matter if it's true or not" and then cite it as further proof that there is some sort of white conspiracy against blacks. One poster even said that whites were "underhanded, not smart." And then they complain about racism.
I'm going to be sick.

Everything except the big smoker mouth. Reminds me of when Susan Estrich talks. His voice reminds me of Moe the Bartender from The Simpsons.

Go back farther and see that FDR started the destruction of the family unit by enacting Social Security.
Lets have the Government take care of our elderly.
After all, why should we take care of our own families?
From there it's an easy slide on the slippery slope to Medicare, and the skewing of the medical profession away from free market principles to the FUBAR knot of doctors, lawyers, medical associations and insurance agents, all rushing for a piece of the pie.

RANGEL QUOTES:
"Bush Impeachable for Social Security Fraud" (4/14/2005)
Top House Democrat Charlie Rangel said this week that President Bush had committed an "impeachable offense" by trying to destroy the Social Security retirement system, calling Bush's reform plan "a fraud." In comments to the New York Sun, Rangel blasted the president for trying to "dismantle" Social Security, saying it would hurt black Americans disproportionately. After calling the White House proposal fraudulent, Rangel said Bush's attempt to reform Social Security was an "impeachable offense." For black Americans, the congressman added, the struggle against the proposed changes was "not only a civil-rights fight, but a fight for America." Rangel called on African-Americans to continue their "missionary" work against the Social Security proposals and likened the effort to marching with Martin Luther King Jr. from Selma to Montgomery.

"We have the same problem with baseball" (12/6/2004)
"He must have had a good reason why he didn't take that physical and lost his flyer's license," the Harlem Democrat mused. "We have the same problem with baseball - guys have to take a urine test, you know. They've got very important reasons why they shouldn't take that test." With his comments on Saturday, Rangel becomes the first congressional Democrat to publicly invoke the drug allegations against Bush that had been largely confined to the lunatic fringe. In the 2000 presidential campaign, the media exhaustively investigated rumors that Bush had used cocaine in the 1970s, but failed to find a single witness who could corroborate the ugly speculation.

"The United States should not be assassinating anybody" (7/22/2003)
" We have a law on the books that the United States should not be assassinating anybody," Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-NY, told Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes."
"We tried to assassinate Castro and we paid dearly for it," the Rangel contended. "And when you personalize the war and you say you're killing someone's kids, then they, in turn, think they can kill somebody."
When an incredulous Sean Hannity expressed dismay at Rangel's comments, the Harlem Democrat shot back, "How can you get so much satisfaction that two bums have been killed? We got bums all over the world and some in the United States."
Then Rangel mocked the U.S. military's success in killing the two Hussein heirs, saying, "I personally don't get any satisfaction that it takes 200,000 troops, 250,000 troops, to knock off two bums."

What destroyed the black family was LBJ's "War on Poverty". I don't think that the Klan could have come up with a better program to destroy the black family than the modern welfare system.

The louder and longer that moonbats like Rangel can spout lies like this and claim them to be truth, the more that the unsuspecting public believes them.

Rangel doesn't want to admit that his culture is doing a good enough job destroying itself all by themselves. They don't need any help from any other culture! Just look at crime stats. Better yet look at the video on Drudge today, what a bunch of animals!

" gore is no better, he knew what clinton, and clinton were before he ever decided to take the VP offer. "
If Gore had any standards of decency he would have resigned the Vice Presidency in protest. If he had of done this he would have probably won the election.
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
