And the Biblical chronicles of King David apply to Hugo Chavez, George Bush, or Pat Robertson....how, exactly? I always took that these Old Testament chronicles are largely historical documents, dealing specifically with certain events and peoples, with a good lesson to be learned from them. I never took it (and I assume most rational people would agree) for marching orders for 21st Century Americans (are they all Christians?) to wipe out whatever leader or country stands in the way of its political objectives.
