" Heard it all before, ad nauseum, since 1995"

Wow, so micrsoft invented time travel and had a dominant share of the web browser market in 1995, even though IE 1 was introduced in august of 1995?

Amazing!

Are they going to jump back to 1998 as well, when IE had 36% of the market and netscape had 61%, and make them "still number 1"?

You need to check your history before you spout off.

Multiple lies. There was no pool, I'm no buzzard, and Linux is not the product of communists, rather they get free copies of it from the US where IBM and others develop it.

HAHA!!! That is my $20 back because he responded to our pool as if it never happened!!!!

I don't support anything going to China for free, not even the peeks at Windows they're getting in response to all the free software IBM is giving them. But you can't legitimately make that argument since you support the complete and total givaway of software to them, including the right to copy, rename, even resell.

And, the open source crowd is very aware of this, and quite comfortable with it being done. Just as I'm sure you are, but you'd rather shout names and blame Microsoft instead, in an obvious distraction attempt. Fact is, you'd be quite pleased with Microsoft if they made their software "open source" so the Chinese could copy it, rename it, etc, without violating Microsoft's copyrights.

Ah, I see you're going to resort to the large fonts in addition to your name calling, just as you did here:

Thanks for showing us that's all you got, once again.

Darn it! Okay, okay...it's a draw.

I was SO hoping he wouldn't be as predictable this time! ;o)

Sure, it's a fact, else I wouldn't have posted it. They love it because it's given to them, for free, so much they're passing laws requiring its use.

IBM Woos the World's Geeks - Big Blue will let software developers in Brazil, Russia, India, and China use company products for free.

I got no problem with them letting developers in foreign countries use their products for free, as long as Americans can as well.

Predictable indeed. I post facts, you respond with name calling and large fonts in attempted defense of free technology for foreign goverments. Happens all the time on here, it's hilarious watching you guys jump around hysterically every time too, major entertainment value.

You need to check your history before you spout off.

I never said anything about IE, I mentioned MS .. period.   I said people have been predicting the fall of the giant since 1995.  You should read posts more carefully before spouting off.

It was originated by communists, but IBM and other US corporations have provided billions of dollars in improvements the last few years, only to give them away to the rest of the world for free. It was a trojan horse, designed to steal US intellectual property, and is unfortunately working perfectly.

Funny, I mentioned only IE...not MS, but then you took my remarks as being about MS (without being specific as to the subject in your response)...so maybe you should try reading AND writing a little more carefully.

It is amazingly comical, considering this is a serious message board. These guys do more to hurt their cause than I ever could, and they don't even realize it.
