If true, that's an astonishing figure.

I don't know how you could establish that. If you define pornography as material that people use to, um, visually enhance sexual fantasies, then they could be counting every search for Britney Spears.

If that figure was based on an analysis of the search terms used, it's not reliable, as AOL discovered years ago. They tried to police their message boards with keyword filters, and it completely shut down the breast cancer support forum, among others.
