Church group to protest at soldiers' funerals

A member of this "church" by the name of Hockenbarger had his face pounded in by a concerned citizen who took exception to Hockenbarger's "THANK GOD FOR 9/11" sign.

That should become SOP.

I'll point out a few related facts:

(1) The Westboro Baptist Church only has about 100 members, all except 4 or 5 of whom are related to the pastor by blood or marriage.

(2) They are extremely litigious and have bankrupted several of their opponents through a barrage of nuisance lawsuits.

(3) For every 5 protests they announce like this, they only actually show up to one of them, since it's a long drive from Kansas to a lot of the locations. The goal is to enhance publicity for themselves.

Code Pink sickos are the ones protesting outside of Walter Reed. We have FReepers in DC who've been protesting Code Pink for several months. There's been several after action report threads posted on FR.

Sickening, isn't it? I'm from the Boston area as well, and I do feel some shame in that I feel in my gut that at least some portion of that mindset originated up here.

I think our American bikers of whom most ALOT are veterans should organize a security with out side of the funeral and escort for our fallen soldiers I wonder how long they would stick around protesting with that kind of security
