PR Machine Behind Cindy Sheehan? ABC7 Looks At The Financing Of 'Camp Casey'
ABC News ^ | Mark Matthews

Posted on 08/25/2005 7:41:37 PM PDT by FairOpinion

With the President back at his Crawford ranch, the anti-war protest right outside his ranch is getting a lot more media attention. ABC7 looks at who is financing the operation and who's providing on-the-ground support.

The camp at Crawford is full of Cindy Sheehan supporters, people from all walks of life. But off to the side are a small group of professionals, skilled in politics and public relations who are marketing her message.

Cindy Sheehan kneels before a cross with her son's name on it, touches his picture, wipes her tears. It's an outpouring of emotion that is part of a scheduled news event organized daily for the television radio and print reporters who crowd in to capture a mother's grief.

"Perhaps it's time to seriously consider dusting off sedition laws and intern these creeps for the duration of the conflict."

Let's see. She repeats the propaganda of the enemy. The enemy uses her rhetoric to produce new and improved propaganda. She excuses the enemy (even those who killed her son)and calls them "freedom fighters", and blames the president for all of the "killing" and calls him an imperialist and a terrorist. But she's really just a harmless "grieving mother."

I usually don't get upset but the charade down in Texas makes my blood boil. Her actions are so disgusting that I can only hate her.The fact that Cindy and her supporters are willing to sacrifice the country in order to hurt our president is an act of treason against us all.I promise I will calm down as soon as we start punishing these traitors. They don't deserve to live in a country as great as this one.

I helped a little today. Our daughter and I were coming home from B'ham. we both had dr's appts. On the way back home we stopped at the most well know restaurant along the interstates here. Right after we were seated a soldier came in with his wife or girlfriend. When I saw him I remembered something I read on here about paying for their meals. That is what we did. The waitress said that was the first time that had ever happened.

Good on ya, mate. In fact, most excellent.

Whazzup widdat? Are they covering their bets in case Jihad Cindy Mark II* implodes?

That is exactly what is happening. Cindy is going mental and ABC is now repositioning as a neutral observer.

Several partisan Web sites reported that the anti-antiwar group Move America Forward was not quite as grassrootsy a response to Sheehan as it first seemed, that it had, in fact, been launched by a Sacramento public relations firm with strong connections to the Republican Party.

Partisan web sites? What's he talking about. Rather, WHO is he talking about?

I'm sick of these idiots who are trying to make us lose a war so they can hurt a president they don't like. This is outright treason and something needs to be done about it.It figures that the little prick Howard Dean would be sucking up to the scum who are working against this country. There shouldn't be anything left of the democratic party after this stunt. The media should be punished to for covering up the hatred for America that is being spewed by that douche bag fraud Cindy Sheehan. She has been nothing but a willing participant in a scheme put together by the left that uses her dead son as a political prop.We used to hang scum like her and her supporters who committed treason like this. When this country is fighting a war there should be zero tolerance for treasonous acts like we see in Texas.I wish the real silent majority would speak up and send these scumbags home.

How do you really feel? /sarcasm

I'm torn. On some days, I feel like you and Lincoln, on other days I feel like Rush: don't shut them up; counter them by presenting your side, calmly yet surely and passionately, watch them get more shrill, and watch them keep losing. And if they want to go CWII, we have all the guns.

This is at least part of the answer. My apologies if this has been posted previously. I have not checked all the many threads.

IVAW (Iraq Veterans Againist the War and an extension of John Kerry's old VVAW) joins with GSFP (Cindy Sheehan), Global Exchange and Code Pink (Medea Benjamin), and others:

Search and excerpt from http://www.vvaw.org/veteran/article/?id=532&hilite=Cindy
titled "IVAW Holds First National Meetings at Fort Bragg"

"The weekend of March 19–20, 2005, could become known as the "beginning of the end" of the disaster in Iraq, as history was made with the national launching of three powerful groups opposed to the war: Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW), Gold Star Families for Peace (GSFP), and Military Families Speak Out (MFSO)."

-snip-

"VVAW national contacts Hannah Frisch, Bill Perry, Dave Cline, and me [Ward Riley] ...Cline, who was honored with the opportunity to open the first national meeting for IVAW."

-snip-

"The list of speakers was long, and notable speakers included IVAW cofounders Kelley Dougherty, Mike Hoffman and Jimmy Massey; Cindy Sheehan of GSFP; Lou Plummer, vet and MFSO cofounder; Medea Benjamin of Global Exchange and Code Pink; Stan Goff, Special Forces master sergeant for twenty years...; VFP executive director Michael McPhearson; Dennis Kyne, ...Desert Storm veteran...; Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, who has a bill on the floor to end the occupation in Iraq; and Michael Berg, the father of Nick Berg..."

-snip-

"And now begins the push to get the word to the media, and to get these groups in front of Congress, so they can tell the truth about what is happening in Iraq. That might force Congress to quit funding this war crime."

---End excerpts---

Be it known that I do not make my suggestion of internment lightly. However I do believe that post WWII conflicts like Korea and Vietnam have spoiled Americans somewhat by making the outcome of all war seem like benign stalemates that you just read about or watch on TV. This war is different. Losing the global war of islamic terrorism means our daughters can be legally sold on a Mogadishu auction block. That's quite a bit different than letting some commies take over Saigon.

"Cindy Sheehan kneels before a cross with her son's name on it, touches his picture, wipes her tears."

That fake b*tch has got it down pat now, turns the tears on and off on cue. She never was his mother, having abandoned him when he was a toddler, and only came back into his life a couple years ago, but even then, he wanted nothing to do with her. He didn't even call her "mom".

Then, even after knowing that John Kerry supported Sadr, even though just 3 days before Sadr and gang killed 20 Americans, including Casey Sheehan, Cindy joined John Kerry on the campaign trail, making money acting as the grieving mother during the presidential campaign.

This is one cold hearted lying beotch, She doesn't give a damn about her son, his honor. All she cares about is herself, and the money she's raking in being an actress for the lying left. SHAME on her, SHAME on John Kerry, for he's the one who created her so he could live his anti- war days all over again through her. I hope they all burn in hell.

Keith Oberman the Doberman is a complete jackass.

He is written down in my book of smug elitists @$$holes.

As my little sis used to say "that guy is really stuck on himself".

One good thing about Oberman is that his audience size is not much bigger than a Michigan football game crowd.

If he looses any more viewers he will have negative ratings.

Perhaps you should investigate what books/aids are available to someone such as yourself in that you exhibit such reluctance in stating how it is that you really feel.

Surely there is a little something from Theresa Heinz Kerry - or rather, the 'Tides Foundation'. . .or some other. . .somesuch. . .and maybe just a small check from the hubby, himself.

Food catering is expensive.

Really wish a 'journalist' would ask what these individuals might do for a living. . .and ask; who paid their way. . .

"I helped a little today...."

That was very thoughtful of you. I bet you really made that soldier's day. Gestures like that goes a long ways toward undoing what these lunatics on the left are doing to their moral.

Might have something to do with what Mom of Two Soldiers posted yesterday

Kerry and his camp apparently contacted Cindy and a few other families to support him during the campaign
