Monte Python is no longer comedy - it has become reality.

The army was out to attract homosexual recruits and show it can be gay-friendly.

Followed by:

there was no official Royal Navy representation.

Sounds like a few nellies getting together rather than an official pronouncement.

I even sent the REAL Whitehouse a note some time back. I thought it was illegal to impersonate the government and one would think they would take legal action to shut down the site. But the site is still there.

BUT:

"The Royal Air Force took part for a second successive year, with a float featuring a plane's cockpit."

I would think open, in-your-face homosexuality would be disruptive in the military. I think don't ask don't tell would be a better policy.

Announcer: And now, the men of the Second Armored Division with their famous close order swanning about.

Sergeant: Squad... Camp it up!

Soldiers: Ooh get her! Whoops, I've got your number ducky, you couldn't afford me dear, two three. I'll scratch your eyes out! Don't come the Brigadier bit with us dear, we all know where you've been, you military fairy. Two, three, one, two, three, four, five, six. Whoops! Don't look now girls, the man has just minced in with that jolly colour Sergeant, two three. OOOOH!

" I think don't ask don't tell would be a better policy."

The best policy, though, is, "We don't allow meat gazing in our showers. Get thee to a good therapist and get your SSAD cured."

Not theory- it is fact, that in JUN84, during a D-Day Joint Forces exercise in Northern England- which involved the Para/Airborne units of the US, Belgium, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Spain- the French Paras were busted for homo sex seven times. No other country's units were involved- just you mouthy frogs. The other violations during this exercise were for fighting, drunk & disorderly, trade of weapons and gambling- which none of you frogs were cited for, Princess Vicomte13.

The British army joined in a gay pride march for the first time, an army spokesman said.

LOL

Well, I found a few too -- I can't believe that the British military not only tolerates, but actively recruits people like THESE.

"Why?"

THAT is the $64,000 question. Why make 99% of the hardworking, dedicated military men and women unconfortable and reduce their efficiency, to cater to the 1%, whose main contribution is that they disrupt the normal discipline.
