"Sure wish these rappers could shoot straight."

It's all in the form. They all insist on holding their 9s with the butt parallel to the ground. If they'd only take the time to learn the proper stance and the "cup and saucer" grip on the weapon. Most of all, practice, practice, practice! It's a shame that there are all these needless woundings because of lackadaisical shooting form. Somebody needs to reach out and help these youngsters become more lethal. With our help they can stamp out rap music. Maybe we can get Sally Struthers to do an infomercial?

Maybe Shug had himself shot so he could make more money with his next album.

"(of course, after hearing "Ice, Ice Baby" for the 10 millionth time years ago...nah, seeing himself in those videos should be torture enough for Vanilla Ice)"

Wasn't some east coast radio DJ fired over something like "No wonder they shoot each other, listening to crap like this" when talking about rap?

Wow! What a surprise! A culture that glorifies murder, rape, and drugs results in a shooting! Stop the presses!

I think you just "dated" yourself. I haven't heard of anyone teaching that method in twenty years.

Is this the guy that enjoys Sheila Jackson Lee's attention? Or is that "protection"?

I can thank MCRD for that. Hell, I even still lace my boots left over right.

I never did understand the utility of the 'gangsta' style hold. Is there something to it that you could enlighten me on? I have noticed that tactical styles now seem to favor holding the weapon in close to the shooter's chest, but they still seem to use the 'dated' grip style.

The only thing I can think of is at close quarters, the sideways stuff allows you to see below the gun. As though you had to watch your adversaries hands. I would wonder if it happened to be in some movie and everyone picked up on it from that.
Holding the gun at your chest is supposed to be while turning corners and opening doors. I don't think that much of it because the muzzle of the gun shouldn't allow any part of your body to be in front of it. Besides, my carry guns are ported. I understand I might have a problem if I would fire it close to my chest. I'm not volunteering.
No one I know teaches cup and saucer.

Yeah.
In a related story, Charles Manson has an ingrown toenail that hurts like the dickens.

That's how much I care.
