ACLU and 'friends' are endangering U.S. troops
The Daily Herald ^ | Sunday, August 28, 2005 | Bill O'Reilly

Every time I turn around, another anti-war person is saying how much he or she "supports" the troops. No matter how vicious the attack on the policy in Iraq or the Afghanistan situation or the proactive strategy to confront worldwide terror, it always seems there's a "support the troops" caveat at the end of the blistering dissent. OK, fine, opposing the Iraq war doesn't mean disrespect for the military, that's true. But the benefit of the doubt only goes so far. Now there's a litmus test, a way to expose the folks who really don't support the troops no matter what they tell you.

As you may know, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is demanding the release of all Abu Ghraib photographs and videotapes, and any other damning evidence of prisoner abuse by the American military. The ACLU filed suit last year, and the case is now coming to a head in New York City.

Gen. Richard Myers, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified in front of the judge that any further public exposition of prisoner abuse could endanger the lives of U.S. and allied troops.

Of course Myers is right, and the Newsweek Quran fiasco proved it. Loony Muslims rampaged in a number of countries after that magazine falsely reported the holy book had been abused at Guantanamo Bay. At least 15 people were killed, hundreds injured.

Myers, himself, has seen the abuse images that have not been made public and says: "the release (of them) would aid the recruitment efforts and other activities of insurgent elements, weaken the new democratic governments of Iraq and Afghanistan ... and increase the likelihood of violence against the United States interests, personnel, and citizens worldwide."

But the ACLU does not care what Myers thinks - it wants to

Most press outlets supported John Kerry for president when the senator could not articulate a single strategy to fight the enemy other than enlisting the help of France and going to his website.

For Bill O'Reilly, that was a good one. I have to give him props for that line.

Liberals, especially liberal men despise our soldiers because they are jealous of them. Before 9/11 liberals were making progress replacing real men like John Wayne with pantywaist Hollywood wimps. When the attack occurred the American people didn't look for liberals like Michael Moore,Bill Maher or Tim Robbins for protection, they looked for real men. This is why liberals try to ignore serious threats and war because it make them into what they should be,irrelevant. We are now seeing a revival in this country where the people are remembering that real men protect this country and make it great while liberal wimps only make it weak. The liberals talk a lot of trash but when the time comes to take action they cower like rats while men step forward to do the job.

This time they're endangering all of us. There was never any danger of Viet Cong or ARVN troops invading the USA.

This time that danger is real, but those on the looney left side either don't see that as a possibility or don't care. And once the strikes resume over here, the terrorists aren't going to differentiate between who called Bush a "lying bastard" and who didn't.

We're all infidels to the radical Islamofascists.

Irrelevance is a fate worse than death to liberals, it shows them up to the nonentities they are. The ACLU may once have had a vision and a mission, but the Soviet Union is defunct, and no longer can use their help. All this energy has to be displaced somewhere, so they have taken up the cause of "protecting" the jihadists and Ba'athists.

ACLU activists apparently do not recognize the reality that the jihadists and Ba'athists have no plan to reciprocate on behalf of ACLU, unless the ACLU members convert to Islam, and subscribe to the particular sect known as Wahhabism. Then to prove their dedication, each member so designated, must take a dull saber and cut (or hack through) the throat of at least one infidel, on videotape, before they may be fully accepted.

Somehow I think few of them would show that sort of zeal. But they are lawyers, first of all, and some could convince themselves that is the best way to practice their trade.

What has happened to the "A" in ACLU? Is it now "All" instead of "American"? The ACLU is an unwelcome and dangerous party in America. It should be charged with treasonous acivities.

We have more to fear from domestic traitors than from any foreign terrorists whatsoever.

The ACLU has NEVER been an organization dedicated to making America a better place. The goals and object of
the ACLU from the formulaitons in that prison yard -has
been the destruction of the American way of life and the
usurpation of our system of governement by a soviet style
Communist system. The sooner America realizes the truth the sooner they will be set free from the clutches of the
evil ones.

e.g. circumstances where they wouldn't get their butts kicked.
