It is a long article, but worth reading. Regardless of what you think of the Minutemen, at least look at the numbers in this article.
I have highlighted the bits that should really make you mad. So, if you want, just read those, then go write some letters.
I've highlighted the really maddening parts, so hopefully more people will read it.
Here's a bump for you.
Thank you very much. I have a feeling many people are turned off by all the words (the horror!!).

LOL. I have to admit that I could've done without some of the author's wordiness, but there's good information there, too.
Novel. BUMP
Me, too. That's why I highlighted all the important stuff.
Now no one else has to read the whole thing!
heehee
Sorry, I got a third of the way through and gave up. Went back and checked, thought it was the New Yorker. As for the region the Minute Men patrolled, a year ago I was driving through Hereford and encounted the Border Patrol who had about 14 guys sitting aside the road. On close inspection I knew that they were West Africans. Repeat, West Africans. I was going to inform the Border Patrol but the Tucsonian accompanying me didn't want to get involved. I failed in my duty, so did he. It's a common story along the Arizona-Mexico frontier.
Thanks.
The article is a little long, but it does hit the nail on the head about how so many Americans feel. The Minutemen are good people with their heads on right.
I know this article has lots of blahblahblah in it, so I suppose perhaps I should have only included the highlighted portions as an excerpt.
Although I do agree with what the Minutemen are doing.
I prefer it all being there, but boy that's a lot.
After years and years of following this subject there just isn't much I haven't read or heard before.
Then just when you think you've seen it all, something like the "Illegals awarded citizens property" comes along.
the addition of the dancing sombrero and the tequila bottle lends symbolic reference to the joy of receiving free ranches when performing illigal deeds.
As far as the property being awarded to illegals, that about made my head explode.
I don't really care what the circumstances were in that case.
Not only should those illegals have been immediately deported when the authorities showed up, they should have never been allowed to file suit in our courts, and under NO circumstances should an American citizen EVER lose their property to an illegal.
As I have written before, you can now lose property that you own to:
1. illegal aliens, if you detain them (there are of course different accounts as to what happened when these particular illegals were detained. But just who was committing the offense; the illegals who were trying to sneak into the country, or the citizens who held them however they could until police got there? If you remember, there was a case a couple of months ago when some black guys were trying to steal cars, some white guys beat them up, and the white guys are the ones going to prison for a "hate crime". Liberals are turning criminals into the victims.)
2. rich guys, if your local gubmint decides your property would generate more money as a strip mall
3. the Feds, if you do not pay whatever the IRS demands that you pay in taxes (which of course is collected under the threat of imprisonment, only to have the majority of it wasted being redistributed to crack whores and Africa)
