This is gonna be a doozy. The people of New Orleans are in my prayers.

From archeology it is known that in many cities the building floor was (with time) going higher, for the places were filling up with their own garbage (that's why they are speaking of "Troy V", "Troy VI" etc. - different levels corresponding to different times). Why hasn't New Orleans followed such an amply documented historical precedent?

The people of New Orleans are in need of prayers!

Hopefully, all will go well and then they will need only minor clean up.

Then, afer it's over, but before it fades into memory, the people of New Orleans need good political representation to make the tough decisions and come up with intelligent development that is mindful of New Orleans unique geographics and its vulnerability to mother nature's storms. This won't be the last storm.

But first, let's pray for a safe night and a safe tomorrow.

We have very close family and friends in New Orleans. My niece, my brother in law and his wife and children have all evacuated. My daughter graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans, She has many friends in harms way.

Please pray that God will spare the city of New Orleans, and its residents from catastophe.

I'm hoping and praying for an angel in the whirlwind....
