Praying for a bundle of small miracles....good news that the river & lake are at low levels, that's one.....good news that so many were able to evacuate & others are gathered in the safest place available with water & food, that's two..........Katrina down so far to level four, that's three. Please Lord, we beg for enough miracles to spare these souls any injuries.

I couldn't get to sleep last night, and couldn't sleep this morning. Grew up in New Orleans, moved away in 1959, moved back in 1975, moved away again in 1987, but still love the place. And the people.
This is the first year we haven't gone back for a visit. We always go for my birthday/Labor Day, but this year are staying home to put down new flooring. Lucky for us.
