Joe McCarthy wasn't half as bad as you've been led to believe. He was trying to rid our country of communists, for crying out loud.
Yeah, I think I know what you mean. This announcing a week before he is going to name names is just stupid. No matter what games he thinks he is playing or what rationalizations can be thrown out, it makes him look kooky and undermines his credibility.
While I hope he is right and exposes Clintonian corruption, this may all end up being another Klaymanesque train wreck.

You beat me to it. I hope he's sincere, and that he's got the evidence. There's something too fishy about announcing that he's got it but he won't release it for nearly 10 days.
And I'd say that being like Joseph McCarthy would be a good thing. While "Joe" did make a few mistakes; he was mostly right, and he was persistent. It's no wonder he was so despised by the left...
