We hope to be on one of those flights in the very near future, bringing home this little Russian boy:
What tempers the sense of sadness you describe is the optimism that comes from knowing that 20 years from now, some of those children - having been raised in loving, stable American homes instead of in institutions and on the streets, and having been sent to prestigious American colleges - will seek to reclaim their Russian citizenship and heritage, and return there in order to build business, wealth, and liberty in the nation of their birth.
Just here in Bratislava, Slovakia, I see more beautiful girls every day, then I see in a year back in the US.
I dunno what it is, but it is just amazing what you see on any street, and in any part of town.
Reminds me of Budapest, Hungary. Now there's a street scene of really pretty women....
Well, I'm 56 years old. I have to lift weights and dance to stay in shape to be worthy of such ladies. Of course, being bilingual and maintaining an education helps too.
