Money I can do but having lived through the flooding from Floyd here, I know that food and clothing that were donated to local charities got to victims much faster than stuff from the National Aid organizations (who did a very good job but didn't get here in force until well after the disaster).

I was just wondering if any local organizations needed "stuff", if all they want is money, that is fine too.

Water will be crucial and in short supply which is why we bought it yesterday. $$ will be needed too and we intend to donate, but by the time the checks clear the banks and someone goes to buy what's needed, a lot of time has passed.

Right now the Salvation Army is organizing to get food, water and clothing down there by truck. We're in the south and this won't take very long to get to those people at all.
