"Yesterday Rush was P***in' and Moanin' about all the erroneous "doom and gloom" predictions."
Nobody should be making political hay out of this disaster...on either side. Rush can be an idiot at times. I suspect he'll be a little more subdued today.
Katrina is not a political issue. It is a natural disaster. All sniping, from either side, should be promptly repudiated by all sensible human beings.
The NO flooding is not a good thing, but there is an enormous difference between slowly rising still water, and a hurricane driven surge which undermines foundations and then knocks down bearing walls.
NO can be drained. Had it flooded yeaterday during the heigth of the storm, there'd be nothing left worth draining.
And most cities, the water would run off eventually...not in NO.
What he meant was . . . the French Quarter is just fine folks, who cares about the rest of the city. This has been the attitude of the press on this thing so far. The ignorance of the city and its surrounds is ASTOUNDING!!!!
