Is she going to show at BNAS? If so, I'd like to be there to counter protest. Where are we all getting together?

I am from a city adjacent to Brunswick (Bath, ME - home of the Bath Iron Works) and a '68 grad of Bowdoin. Unfortunately I am living in exile in MA, but I have a cottage in West Bath. I am a Vietnam Vet(First of the Ninth Air Cav).

[First, I apologize for not being able to do an updated thread for this event. I'm under attack by a computer virus at the moment and it's making it nearly impossible to get anything done! )o:]

UPDATED INFO!

Everyone is being asked to assemble on the outside edge of Brunswick Hannaford at 8am Saturday (tomorrow!). From there people will drive together to the rally spot by the base gate.

The following is excerpted from a freepmail by snowrip...

1.) Arguing with the protestors is pointless. Should they provoke you, merely smile at them and thank them for their service, compliment their earrings, or whatever. I don't expect any violence, but be prepared for anything; the "peace" movement has a reputation foe irrationality and tantrums, to say the least. There may be people among them whose ONLY motive is to stir up trouble. If a peacenik moves to push or strike you, try to get out of their way and notify police officials. Also, ask any witnesses to stay with you to verify the facts if you are actually assaulted. The ProtestWarrior group will be documenting all activity, and we have several people who will have cameras as well. The peaceniks don’t like their pictures taken and often are repelled easily by a photo lens.

2.) This will be a long day…sunscreen, bottles of water, hats, and comfortable shoes are necessities. Given the heightened security and the nature of the event, Brunswick NAS will not allow any coolers, packs, etc. inside the gates, but we should be fine outside.

Lastly... it's going to be a beautiful day! I expect a great deal of support from the many civilian and military families, law enforcement, and veterans that will be attending the show. Please email me with any comments, questions, ideas or the like. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

For additional information please Freepmail Snowrip who I have to say has done a fantastic job talking to all the required people and getting ready for this rally! I wish I could join you - have fun and give 'em h*ll!!!
