I am sickened that they are closing the base. I love the fact that it is there.
We loved being out in Brunswick. We stayed at a house on Middle Bay.
Loved the town, and shopping at Hannafords.
One of our favorite things to do while staying at the home was watching the P-3s and C-130s making their touch and go's. The house was right on the glide path.
You must get over to the Chamberlain Museum, if you haven't already. (Joshua Chamberlain - Civil War hero.) It's right next to Bowdoin College, on Maine Street.
Certainly we went to Fatboy's and Estees.
We heard that people would call the base and complain about the noise of the airplanes, and the base would respond, "That's the sound of Freedom." Love it.
We took trips to Booth Bay Harbor, and Popham State Park.
I miss that place already.
In regards to Sheehan... she's completely nuts.
Thank you and your husband for your service to this country.
Leave Cindy Sheehan alone.
She is continuing an antiwar bus caravan in the middle of a national catastrophe. She is politically tone deaf, along with her Nazi buddies and their anti-Semitic hangers-on.
Don't even bother. Her 16th Minute has come and gone.
She is just too stupid to know this.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
