I am sure that the one who wielded the knife felt Nick's breath on his hand and knew that he had a real human being there.

Uh...don't bet on it.

Perhaps the murderers felt and saw these things; yet that did not stop them from butchering his son. Only a fool would believe that George W. Bush would have done anything like that.

Nick Berg was in Iraq to help the people without any expectation of personal gain.
From Wikipedia: Nicholas Evan Berg (April 2, 1978 – May 2004) was an American businessman seeking telecommunications work in Iraq during the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq.
This guy should be married to Cindy SheMAN. They would be a most excellent couple. /sarc

"occupation of Iraq"

seems the wikepedia is just determined to do a little spin to the left.

Not that I blame him, but it's apparent that he never watched the video.

It must really irk them that their sons chose to follow this president, their fellow warriors and a worthy cause over spending a lifetime with their self-absorbed parents.

I have been a life-long Scouter, and not once have I ever seen a policy aimed at using handguns. This person is a liar.

I think you nailed that one; that claim surprised me as well. Many years ago, we used to shoot (under very close supervision) both .22 bolt-action rifles and shotguns but never handguns.

I guess the question of politics and fame vs. family have been answered for Mr Berg and Miss Sheehan.

Truly Dispicible!

Nick Berg made his own choices. Being as he wasn't in the military or in any way serving in a government capacity or at the behest of the administration, how does this small man make the claim the Bush is to blame for his son's death?

The fact is no one has a good answer for what he was doing there. He had no business being there. But one thing is for certain George W. Bush didn't in any way require Nick Berg's presence in Iraq. Maybe he went there to get away from a father who is clearly mentally unhinged.

seems the MSM/left/democrats have hit upon the tactic long adopted by other left wing radical groups. CLAIM THE DEAD AND USE THEM AS MORAL SHIELDS.

(homosexuals have been doing it for years. See their efforts to claim Lincoln)

So now we have leftist loneys of the MSM trolling for the families of the dead in order to create a false assumption that anyone with a fallen solder/or worker is automatically anti-american.

Yeah, there is the Rifle Shooting merit badge and the Shotgun Shooting merit badge. There is no Handgun Shooting merit badge or any other one where a boy would be taught to shoot a handgun. Those evil Scouts are, however, taught how to treat bullet wounds...handgun or otherwise.

"I am sure that they came to admire him."

Yeah, right before they cut his head off they looked him in the eye and said

"DIE YOU STINKING AMERICAN PIG, and by the way we really admire your gentleness."

Sounds like Michael Berg taught his son to be as pacifistic, delusional, unrealistic, and inclined to folly as he obviously is. Nick Berg died because he never really understood what evil was or what evil men were like, because he wanted to believe that some universal humanism or his personal longing for peace would carry him through like a secret force field.

Precisely. An American Jew casually backpacking through Iraq must think he is so good he has some kind of personal safe conduct pass. Like he can be a neutral non-combatant in the struggle between good and evil.

I am sure, knowing my son, that somewhere during their association with him these men became aware of what an extraordinary man my son was. I take comfort that when they did the awful thing they did, they weren't quite as in to it as they might have been. I am sure that they came to admire him.

What arrogance ! Who told Nick that he was so special that sh*t couldn't happen to him ? Innocent blood is the cheap lubricant of history. Who told Michael and Nick that their's was special ?

"I condemn those who make policies to end lives Michael Berg Friday May 21, 2004"

Me too. I condemn dem Muslim cutthroats! Praise to our brave soldiers and to the Commander-in-Chief who had the guts to do what EVERYBODY else was just talking about: CHANGE REGIMES in Iraq!

Don't cut and run now. Try to show some courage and patience. It looks better than cowardice, Libs.

This man is a member of ANSWER and a liberal retired school teacher. He is not saying the real reason he hates the administration. I think his son worked for the company. (CIA)
His hair had been dyed and his appearance had changed since he left West Chester Pa. Why? A Jewish male going to an Islamic nation without protection was not smart at all.
There is far more to this Nick Berg story that anyone cares to say
