I wonder what has happened to Plaquemines Parish? I believe thats the one at the tip of the Mississippi. It is surrounded by water with the big river running through the middle of it. it's hard to imagine even the topography coming through unscathed there.

I've been wondering myself. I have no idea about the veracity of this, but one report says that Plaquemines Parish is completely gone underwater.

Plaquemines -- Lower Plaquemines Parish is gone as observed from satellite.

Haven't seen it myself -- just heard it on shortwave.

Colonel, I heard today that the Mississippi River has reclaimed the southernmost part of Plaquemines Parish. It's just gone.
