Robert F. Kennedy (Psychotic Dem alert)

“For They That Sow the Wind Shall Reap the Whirlwind”

As Hurricane Katrina dismantles Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, it’s worth recalling the central role that Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour played in derailing the Kyoto Protocol and kiboshing President Bush’s iron-clad campaign promise to regulate CO2. .....

Well, the science is clear. This month, a study published in the journal Nature by a renowned MIT climatologist linked the increasing prevalence of destructive hurricanes to human-induced global warming.

Now we are all learning what it’s like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence which Barbour and his cronies have encouraged. Our destructive addiction has given us a catastrophic war in the Middle East and--now--Katrina is giving our nation a glimpse of the climate chaos we are bequeathing our children.

In 1998, Republican icon Pat Robertson warned that hurricanes were likely to hit communities that offended God. Perhaps it was Barbour’s memo that caused Katrina, at the last moment, to spare New Orleans and save its worst flailings for the Mississippi coast.

Amazing that the evil Bushitler/Halliburton global death machine could get their hurricane generator up and running in just 4 years, and with the tsunami generator going online at the same time. It is well-known among moonbats that there were no hurricanes before 2001, except for 1900 when Republican William McKinley was in office.

If Kennedy would actually read the MIT study instead of repeating what he's heard he would see that it says that while the earth has heated up since 1900 there is not evidence to say it has anything to do with human actions.

And then to blame it on human actions in the last 4 years is just plain dishonest.

Well the science makes no sense then. If global warming is supposed to melt the polar ice caps, then the Atlantic should be cooling. A hurricane does not develop in cool water only warm. And how do they explain Camile or the hurricane that wipped out Galvestons in the late 1800?

I've never even read Huffington but even the NY Times which has a real blind spot on global warming couldn't twist the Nature article that far.
In an article this month in the journal Nature, Kerry Emanuel of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, wrote that global warming might already have had some effect. But he added, "What we see in the Atlantic is mostly the natural swing.
The original article requires a loging but here the article reprinted in the International Herald Tribune

http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/08/30/news/environ.php

I'll try to find the actual study -basically it cuts through the politics and says "there is no proof either way about human causes.
