Why aren't they there on the scene with their sleeves rolled up and HELPING like Jeb Bush in Florida does?

So silly. So you actually believe all that crap about politicians "rolling up their sleeves and helping?" C'mon, surely you can't be that naive. We don't elect our leaders to get in the trenches with everybody else, we elect them to lead. Bush can get a lot more done from the White House than he can handing out MRE's for the obligatory "photo opportunity." I'm glad he's not as shallow as most politicians.

Well, Jeb actually did but you are right about GWB's duty being in command at the White House.

I'm not talking about President Bush.. I'm talking about the Mayor and Governor and Senator(s) who seem to hold incessent news conferences that no one in need can hear... they need to go out and see this up close and personal... the same thing that Jeb did in Florida last year.
