My hope is that the preps I've made over the years and the skills of my family and our neighbors will keep me from having to do steal, but I will do anything to keep my family alive.

Our version of NOLA is the San Francisco Bay area, 120 miles south of us. If/when the hammer falls, I expect the hungry rats to flee the cities. Like you, we will not allow others to steal our family's chance of survival from us.

That said, I would not allow my grandson to starve if I knew you had food hoarded. The chips would have to fall as they would and we would have to see who was standing at the end of the day.

Don't misunderstand me, I don't consider plasma TVs and Rolex watches to be necessary for survival. Those who are stealing those will find that they just won't keep them alive for very long and nature will dispense justice if the authorities don't.

This is all about survival. I would expect others to do what is needed for survival and I feel sorry for those don't understand what "there but for the grace of God go I" really means.
