Who are the pricks starting fires in an enclosed facility? These people needed help, like yesterday.

I have been amazed at all the able-bodied evacuee's that are just sitting around and/or looting....instead of offering their services to the NG, FEMA, Red Cross, etc. I know that the disabled, weak and small children can't do much.....but there are so many that could.

"I don't treat my dog like that," 47-year-old Daniel Edwards said as he pointed at the woman in the wheelchair. "I buried my dog." He added: "You can do everything for other countries but you can't do nothing for your own people. You can go overseas with the military but you can't get them down here."

Oh man.....the survivors in this are going to be very wealthy......

"We must rebuild New Orleans, the city that gave us jazz, and music, and multiculturalism."

And we all know what a gift that multiculturalism thing was.

"evacuees complained that they were dropped off and given nothing."

They're alive aren't they? Who was supposed to give them something? This is becoming surreal.

A micro-model of socialism on display. Take a number, fools.

Hundreds if millions of dollars have been spent to tell these people that Bush and the administration are their enemies.
The Mayor and Governor have been totally incompetent, no wonder these people feel like there is no leadership.

These people will only respond to "their leaders": Oprah, Springer, Snoop Dog, etc.

Why don't YOU do something, you moron. If you people down there knew how to a.)exercise some self control and b.)organize yourselves to help yourselves and others you wouldn't have a lot of the problems you're having right now. The first disaster was the hurricane, the second disaster was the floods, but the third disaster was the failure of the people in the region to act intelligently, to control themselves, and to try to help themselves and others. I'm disgusted with the people of New Orleans right now. Their behavior is a national embarassment.

Some of these people are poor and some of the poor are poor because they don't have self-control. When times get a little tough, these people, not all poor people but the ones who are poor because they can't control their emotions long enough to make a plan of any use, start to come unwound. Worse than helpless, they actually get in the way. If they were in an army under duress, they would be left behind at the first opportunity.

Yeah. They should get everybody out, and THEN burn the place down. Damn it's ugly!

Ever notice what a fine line it is between someone who needs rescuing and someone who does the rescuing?

It's not the size, color, age, health, background, or anything else that I can put my finger on.

It's something that is in a person, and it's there or it's not.

Hey evacuees - you're welcome. Maybe the roof was more comfortable?
