Why would you dontate to something you did not understand?

As have I. They have not hidden their goals/mission in any way. Yes you are the fool for making a big deal out of a donation you now regret and dragging a good organization through the mud. Your regret and misunderstanding of what you donated to should not in any way detract from the good they have and continue to do.
