I think we better keep an eye on Germany. Some of the lunacy coming out of there sounds familiar. Next the Japanese will start blaming us for stuff.

No, hopefully the Japanese will be developing better nuclear power methods, Thermal Depolymerization (TDP) and other technologies. They'll need it. We at least have some oil and oil potential, some oil sands, lots of "oil shale" and a whole bunch of coal. They have zip...except perhaps wind.

The sad part of this episode is that three years from now, it would be a decent bet that we won't have a single new refinery in operation nor will there be any new nuclear plants. If TDP gets established it will be because the Europeans and Japanese are looking to get rid of their slaughterhouse renderings that can no longer go into animal feed.
