Okay, so their attack is, "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!!", right? That's what you have to defend yourself against?
One possible defense would be, "NO IT'S NOT IT'S CLINTON'S FAULT!!" That lowers you to their level, and frankly just sounds childish.
How about this as a defense: "Look at those liberals! They're so obsessed with Bush, so blinded by irrational hatred, that they blame him for a hurricane! What's next? Will they blame Bush for ring-around-the-collar?"
Much more effective, plus it lets you retain the high ground. Give that one a try. Make an issue out of their obscene politicization of the hurricane, rather than joining them in the obscenity.
Neal Cavuto on Hannity today commented that blame could go back to Clinton, but also Bush 41. What I got from Cavuto's comments is this has been a known problem for some time but has not been a political priority for LA, New Orleans or the Fed.
You started out saying this was disrespectful to the dead. I disagree. There's nothing obscene about stating facts if, indeed, the crux of this thread is based on fact.
Getting the Truth out into the MSM for average Americans to see is an uphill battle for us and it's never too early to start, nor can we ever fight too hard.
