Sunnis ruled in his day because Saddam (a MINO) was from a Sunni tribe. Life was rich, and the despised Shiites and Kurds were kept in their proper places. Not that it's hard to despise Shittes, of course....
At some point you'd think they'd realize the rules have changed. If we fail in stabilizing Iraq, the Shiites win and at best the Sunnis flee to Syria, the Kurds won't have them. They're in a tought spot, and as likely to control Iraq as Osama is to defeat the US. And no, they don't recognize that.
