There was a stream for a while but FNC found out about it and shut it down.

Huey P. Long gave a real boost to the mentality of living in a welfare state. Think of the progress that could have been made if he had been a conservative with such a can do attitude. If you have ever driven through LA it is still peppered with highways, hospitals and just about anything you can think of that are named after H.P. Long.

The Dems know that it's the Mayor's and Governor's primary responsibility to act first in these situations. They're not as stupid as they act. They're intentionally trashing Bush, like they always do - and misrepresenting the facts.

Lisa Stark on ABC is now saying that the federal govt. can act only if the state requests help first, and this is one of the main reasons for the "slow" federal response.I know you have a job to do Lisa, but we can do without the patently obvious Ms. Stark, the merely obvious will suffice.

It's in their tired old playbook.

Hi BigSkyFreeper. As obvious as it is, I don't think some FReepers are getting it. :o(

Hi BigSkyFreeper. As obvious as it is, I don't think some FReepers are getting it. :o(This is true, that was apparent the day after the hurricane struck. Some FReepers screaming for the feds to break every law in the book.

One "FReeper" (I have my doubts) was even asking where the military was. You would think that a regular on this site would know that the National Guard and Coast Guard are part of our military. (sigh)

One "FReeper" (I have my doubts) was even asking where the military was. Given the substance of his/her concern, I'd venture to say it was a embedded Liberal poster.

Geez, how naive.....you certainly don't expect something as insignificant as constitutionality to stand in the way of forcible confiscation and redistribution of your assets, with the added benefit of buying future votes, do you? After all, we're compassionate conservatives now, and, as my Senator, Rick Santorum, recently stated, conservatives who believe in smaller, less intrusive government are out of step with the Republican party. The translation is that simply because we confiscate and redistribute with as much enthusiasm as any liberal socialist is fine and dandy because our intentions are good!
To: MarcusTulliusCicero
Be careful. With an attitude like that, some people who are a lot more compassionate than you might up and slap you down for daring to be so utterly cold-hearted at a time such as this. I mean, get real. Although we all agree there's a time and a place for strict constructivism, originalism, and constitutional conservatism, this sure as h*ll ain't it, ya moron! </sarcasm>
