The latest satellite pictures of the Gulf Coast are here:

Study the before storm picture and then study the most recent picture. It seems to me that Lake Pontchatrain has now become a part of the Gulf of Mexico. In fact it has also expanded to encompass the other lake on the left. Am I wrong?
