The sad part is that it's the truth.

She couldn't buy a clue if the National Guard was handing them out for free

They obviously have not seen photos like this, he never ever hesitates to comfort touch and speak to people regardless of their color or creed.

He will be sleeping on your head tonight! LOL

OK, I will not pick on you since he purrs in my ear
when he sleeps by my head.

Riley would nod his head excessively

I noticed that also. Thought what is that about, A bit overdone

Yeah. In a way he reminded me of Algore, back when he was VP and had to stand behind Clinton during pressers. A lot of head nodding there, too.

Another thing, when Riley was talking, being too loud, I noticed the president leaned away from him slightly, like a tree in the breeze. Judging by W's body language, he wanted Riley to shut up :)

I would give Shep some slack but I saw him calmed down and his report was okay. It was just so odd that he got riled up again right after Geraldo put on his little show.

Riley is the governor of Alabama! I never heard of him before today, either :)

I don't like that Geraldo always needs a prop. I will always see him opening Al Capone's vault. He had himself all worked up into a frenzy over that one and then......it was empty. Foolishness.

Maybe it just triggered the emotion in him again if he saw it or heard in in his ear piece but I would not want to attribute that to him without proof. I must admit some things he has said and done I cannot agree with but on the whole I do understand where he is coming from but maybe not expressing it correctly.

My just younger sister, Joanne, rode the storm out in the courthouse in Pascagoula, where she works. We haven't heard from our baby sister, but when Joanne went by to check on her before the storm, her car was gone. We hope she went up to H'burg or to Jackson, where her middle son lives. Both H'burg and Jackson have spotty phone coverage, so she may not have been able to call anyone to say she's ok.

My older brother Mike, and his wife Pat rode the storm out in their home in Bay St. Louis. They didn't want to leave because her Mom is in a nursing home, and her brother is in an Assisted Living facility in the area. When it was over, they had a structure, but it was gutted. They are thankful to be alive. My sister Brenda, and her huband Martin had a cute cottage on the water in Ocean Springs. When Joanne went by to check on it during the week, she discovered it was just gone. They had evacuated to H'burg, with their daughter and her family, who had come from New Orleans. No one has been able to reach them to let them know, yet. Natalie does know by now that they can't go back home to N.O.. I can't even imagine how lost her little girls feel, much less their Mama and Daddy!

But everyone is alive, so we are Blessed beyond words!

In these pix you see a president comforting Americans of all stripes, not just white so the Jackson's, Sharpton's and other race baiters can go to hell.

I wish Shep would get a little break from where he is. Maybe he should have to Houston and reported for a while. I'm sure he is seeing sights that I, myself, would not be able to handle at all.

They were milk jugs with warm yellow liquid in them because they wouldn't take time to stop. :) Don't know why but this visual popped in my head. I can be a sick puppy at times.

A sick puppy? You? Nahhh :)

So the truckers would have to "fill" the jugs while they were driving? :)

I agree I think he feels coming from that area he wants to be there but I think that is making him not able to handle it even more.

The answer is that it was above sea level when the French built the city. It has lowered as the ground has eroded underneath it.

(The French are still incompetant, however. ;)

Buses without bathrooms....

after listening to the description of the bathrooms in the Convention Center after 4 days use by thousands of people....I doubt these people would be concerned that the buses had no bathrooms.

I wonder if there is some crazy law that says because there are not toilet facilities on the buses they cannot use them for this purpose.

Nothing would surprise me in this PC world.

Geraldo was jumping all over the place (a bit ADD).

LOL! I've seen him do that before.

trying really hard to work himself into a good cry. He looked like he was trying to squeeze tears from his eyes.

He and Shemp must have attended the same acting school.

But I think Shep thought that Geraldo might beat him out of an Emmy so he got wound up again and had to make the tears squeeze from his eyes.

That's what it all boils down to, doesn't it? Winning an award. And Shemp kept replaying his "body on the bridge" piece like it was one of his greatest hits or something. Shameless.
