Kanye West Ruins Relief Show
At a Red Cross benefit shown on NBC for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief, singer Kanye West launched a vicious attack on President Bush, stating that "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Statement from NBC regarding tonight's comments from Kanye West on the telethon:
"Tonight's telecast was a live television event wrought with emotion. Kanye West departed from the scripted comments that were prepared for him, and his opinions in no way represent the views of the networks. It would be most unfortunate if the efforts of the artists who participated tonight and the generosity of millions of Americans who are helping those in need are overshadowed by one person's opinion."
Here's one. My donations will go to my church, not to angry blacks who hate my president and my country.

I posted same sentiments earlier...and some got upset at me. But amen to that. My church is entrenched in relief efforts now; I'll trust them more than I will any group represented by NBC and Kanye West.
