If were able to directly elect a President then we might be able to get a charismatic conservative like Ronald Reagan elected to institute some sweeping changes in Canada. Without electing an exectutive branch as is currently the case in Canada the entire nation must bow to the elected reps from Ontario and the rest of the nation has virtually no say.
