I assume that she will never again say a bad word about the operation in Iraq.

You forgot the /sarc tag. I've got no use for this Landrieu thing. She's an opportunist.

...municipal buses...

Were these the same buses that were used to take poor people to the polls on election night? Anyone have any news archive links to verify this? Just wondering...

No, she didn't. What she did do...now I'm inferring this...is pretty much think it was going to be OK since she used the release as a platform to get more money for the wetlands. If you were really really concerned about the storm before it hit would you be focused on anything but the preparations?

And this b!tch was blaming Bush......

The most important difference between the libs and normal people is this, normal people have that level to witch they will NOT sink.

Normal people have shame.

NO is now a wetland and must forever be maintained in it's present pristine condition for the sake of endangered endangered species of mold, mildew and skeeters found only in these waters and unable to survive anywhere else.

LOL! HA! HA! THAT'S IT! Hoist the Liberals/EPA/PETA/Eco-Terrorists (and their ilk :) on their own petard.

I was just thinking the same thing. Denny Hassert is being condemned for this idea of not rebuilding New Orleans....where is the Sierra Club and all the other environmental groups who should be endorsing the idea of keeping New Orleans a wetlands?

Oh, and BTW, I guess the Sierra Club will be looking for a new location for their Annual Convention that was scheduled to take place in New Orleans in mid-October.

Perhaps Martha's Vineyard would be an good alternate location for their National Convention. First item on the agenda.... discuss the alternative use of wind power along the coast of Martha's Vineyard vs. rebuilding of the oil refineries which they are opposing along the Delta Coastline.

"All the Louisiana politicians are scrambling to blame the feds for LA's lack of preparedness."

Right on!

They remind me of a kitten attempting to bury its sh*t on a tile floor.

"Ours are worth too much money to risk damaging them."

Riiight! We are all just sooooo convinced those buses have a higher value because of their recent deep cleaning. There is nothing quite like 3 to 4 feet of nice organic river water to wash away all the problems to which school buses are prone.
