Its important this doesn't get swept under the rug of false racism charges and anti-Bush media bias.

Agreed but ....

1) FreeRepublic should not be the focus of the blame game. FreeRepublic is already under fire nationally for the few replies, wreaking of racism, submitted by a handful of registered idiots.

2) Whatever facts we uncover through diligent searches we aren't going to change the attitudes and reporting styles of the MSM.

3) I've suggested that these factual reports involving politically charged and sensitive issues be posted on FR as a locked thread (no replies possible). The information would be available for the world and the MSM to read but the few unthinking Freepers or disrupters would not have a chance to blacken our reputation or provide ammunition for our tormentors.

And How exactly in this perfect world would our Members here find this thread.

I don't want it locked, I want it open for discussion, and additions by our members.

Feel free to start your own thread with the same links, and then request it be locked.

And it is not about being the focus of the blame game. It is about providing facts where we find them and letting our members know about those facts.

Sorry, but I disagree with your whole premise.

As for this:

You said:
" 2) Whatever facts we uncover through diligent searches we aren't going to change the attitudes and reporting styles of the MSM."

Tell that to CBS regarding the memo's..

Agreed but ....

I understand what your are saying, and I have had a few tiffs with insensitive, thoughtless posters who use the forum as a masturbation session for massaging their biases. But it is free speech we're dealing with here. The threads are a resource for other thoughtful people who then undertake more research, and we are further enlightened. Free Republic wasn't the only internet vehicle I was referring to with regards to the dissemination of the information. Many blogs have published similar findings and are more able to control their content and comments. The point I think, is that there is more to be gained by open airing of the facts, than not. I do see your point however.
