I offer these thoughts:

1) Assigning blame publicly is counterproductive to the recovery of the area.
2) If this was offered to defend the government you're preaching to the choir.
3) If this was offered to defend a politically partisan government administration (Republican) your efforts would be better spent to identify, encourage and support qualified, conservative minded, citizens to run for public office, especially in Louisiana.

---

1) The Main Stream (A/K/A Democratic) Media is already trying to assign blame publicly to the Bush Administration.

2) Supplying ammunition - facts - that defend the Bush Administration is hardly preaching to the choir.

3) Since the Democrats/Liberals/Socialists have already started the blame game it would seem that using facts to defend oneself is only common sense.

Perhaps the concept that putting your trust in Democrat officials already has gotten your relatives, friends and neighbors KILLED might encourage some people...

...to identify, encourage and support qualified, conservative minded, citizens to run for public office...

Just some thoughts I offer to you.

The collection of factual information regarding the events of hurricane Katrina, together with all laws, both federal and state, pertaining to the responsibilities of our elected officials, and what emergency contingencies were in place and acted upon, are of utmost importance.

As you may be aware, the MSM is, as we speak, is more concerned with placing blame for this disaster on the federal government, than espousing the truth.

While I agree that this is not the time for the federal government to reply to these accusations and unfounded rumors, the facts surrounding this event must be chronicled for future use.

And that is "Just some thoughts I offer to you".
