Do you know if there are gun control laws in the housing authority down there? Somewhere (Boston and other places) firearms have been banned in "the projects." If so, even the law-abiding and innocent were sitting ducks in New Orleans.

Also someone was on FOX yesterday saying the alligator stories weren't true. You're saying they are. Most of us have no way of knowing if they are or aren't, but I'd hate to be trying to save my children and run up on one of these things without the ability to put several rounds in it.

Yes they have chicago style gun control in the projects down thier any public houseing that gets hud funding has to have gun control in order to recieve the money.(even under a republican administration hmmmm)so of course the only armed people in the projects are the gang members and civilians that are worried about violating the law are unarmed and defensless.

That was a relic of the Clinton Administration. Those projects are built with federal funds and are often subject to federal gun laws. I don't know if the federal public housing gun ban was rescinded or not.
