That's Leftist Newspeak right there. Righteous indignation at pure Leftist bullcrap is "rage."

If we don't put a stop to this soon, things are going to degrade to the point that every time someone dares to speak the truth, it's going to be criminalized as "hate speech."

I sent him a similar e-mail:

Today, you were totally off base. Do you really think that FEMA should operate on the expectation that half the local police force will walk off the job in a disaster? And that others will exploit the disaster and join the looters?

What federal official do you think Bush should have fired if on 9/11 half of the NYPD walked off the job, and others were taped looting the scene?

I do not fault FEMA, or *any* federal agency, for the disgusting and disastrous performance of the New Orleans Police Department.

If the New Orleans Police Department was not such an abominable disgrace and had an effective police presence at the designated shelters (Superdome and later Convention Center), many of the problems would not have existed.

(By the way, you might be interested in knowing that many of the deaths were of sick people who were respirator dependent, and died when the electricity and generators failed. Which federal official should be fired for that??????)

Get your facts straight. You usually do, but you disappointed today!

Russert had on that Parish PRESIDENT, Broussard, and consoled him as he cried, agreeing it was all the fault of MISTER Bush. It turned me off MTP forever.

This is great .

Did you see the good General at the very end give a salute and said I'll see you later while the other guy (was the Chertoff?--the picture was fuzzy) was still talking?

This is a no BS guy! I don't think I have ever seen a government/military official walk off to go back to work while a Cabinet level person ( or any officail) is still talking at the podium. Ever!

This is priceless.

It is a damn shame we do not have more officials who are no BS people. President Bush should take a few notes about how to respond to "Helen Thomas Style" questions from General Honore.

"I don't think I have ever seen a government/military official walk off to go back to work while a Cabinet level person ( or any officail) is still talking at the podium."

The really funny thing was when the other guy at the podium broke off what he was saying and said, "we're going to follow the general," and left. BWAHAHAHAH! I loved that!

This is great! Thanks for posting the link.

General Honore shooting down a hand-wringing reporter: "You need to get on the streets of New Orleans. You can't sit back here and repeat what you heard from someone else."

Reporter babe mumbles something about safety ...

General Honore: "Have you been to New Orleans?" (mumbled "yes") "Did anybody accost you?" (mumbled "no") "Okay ... then why the hell are trying to make that the issue. If you can help, try and help."

Reporter: "Can you clarify--"

Chertoff: (laughing) "I think that was pretty clear."

:)

That was just as fuuny.

Honest to God, I have seen thousands of speeches inmy life and I have NEVER seen an ofical walk off the stage to go back to work when another speaker was still speaking, especially a high ranking official.

Then, the "we're going where he's going" act topped that.

A once in a lifetime event--save that to disk!

I believe he said 'God bless you' as he saluted and strode off. Very dignified.

Gen. Patton has a worthy descendant, IMHO.

I do not fault FEMA, or *any* federal agency, for the disgusting and disastrous performance of the New Orleans Police Department.

I think it is amazing that the feds were able to get in there as fast as they did. The size of the undertaking is enormous.

If a lineman misses his block and the quarterback gets sacked, is it the quarteback's fault? If this happens a few times in a row and the quarterback fumbles, gives up the ball on his own one yard line and the other team brings in their offense and scores, do we blame the defense?

Everyone has a job to do: city, state, and feds. City and state missed the blocks, got sacked a few times and fumbled. Blame the feds.
