Don't say that that would encourage Al Gore do that and DC Freepers would be messing with Al Gore come think of it that might not be bad idea LOL!
Name?
FRmail if you're keeping it a secret :)
huh?????????????????????????
I've been to/through Denton 1,000 times... I've always thought it was a nice quaint place. It was a killer when they raised the bridge over the Choptank River though.
But we here at the Washington Post never let that get in our way so we will write an article about it anyway.
There is one main road into St, Michaels from Easton. You will pass a motel and a convenience store on the left. The restaurant is right next to that. I don't remember the name.
Gore already has a place in North Bethany, Delaware.
As does Pat Buchanan.
.."he is, that is, if you believe the rumors.."
Well, we know the veracity record of MSM rumors.
Sounds like the Crab Pot
I've done some Googling, coould it be Higgins Crab House?
It's one of the first restaurants coming into town, and has all-you-can-eat crabs.
It might be. I'll go back and look for old credit card records. If there is a picture I could tell you.
Here's a review that came up:
Higgins Crab House, Ocean City
It's located at 31st Street & Coastal Highway, Ocean City, and at Rt. 33 & Pea Neck Rd., St. Michaels.
This restaurant offers all-you-can-eat crabs; and when we were there a combination with fried chicken, maryland crab soup, french fries, cole slaw and corn on the cob was $13.95; it may be more now. With steamed shrimp and crab soup, etc., it was $13.95; and with baby back ribs it was $16.95. There are other combinations and other items on the meanu, like soft crabs in season, fish of the day, scallops, strip steak, and more. This is a great place; they have a great menu; and Mudd Pie.
That's got to be it.
Ended up being The Crab Claw Restaurant adjacent to the Maritime Museum. Great afternoon! Then we picked up a bushel and gorged ourselves that evening with a couple of their neighbors at their house in Denton.

As an almost lifelong resident of Maryland, take my advice. Never, ever eat "all you can eat" crabs. Everyone, especially Higgins, gives you the smallest, lightest crabs. You are much better off ordering a half dozen or dozen of #1's. Might cost a bit more, but the enjoyment will be worth it.
By the way, I get all that I want at my back-yard dock. Had a half dozen big ones the other night. My son was out in the ocean fishing and cleaned his fish at my place. He loaded my traps with dolphin heads and the crabs couldn't wait to get into the traps.
Crabs fed on Mahi Mahi taste good.
If you not been there before, you are in for a great experience. Unless we have a hurricane welcoming you. Back in the 1980's, when I had a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay (Magothy River) I spent quite a few nights in St. Michaels and Oxford. I'm now a bit further east on the Shore (four miles from the ocean) but still stop by on the way back to the Baltimore environs.
One of my favorite places was the Inn at Perry Cabin. Beautiful rustic inn with great crab cakes, next to the Miles River Yacht club (http://www.milesriveryc.org/), home of the log canoe races. It apparently was the set for a Clark Gable movie in about 1939.
In about 1991 I took a young lady down there to impress her and found that the inn had been bought by Laura Ashley, had been totally redecorated and had a French menu. What a disappointment. I just checked the web and apparently it is still a Laura Ashley enterprise.
Welcome to the Peoples' Republic of Maryland. Ignore the politics and enjoy the Land of Pleasant Living.
Wait until MSM begins to realize that the Easton, Talbot County, St. Michaels area has the world's best duck and goose hunting. It's a multi-million dollar enterprise in that area. And, I believe that both Rummy and Cheney are known to blow a goose out of the sky once in a while.
You might remember that several years ago Rush Limbaugh was invited to a private "game reserve" in the area. It was Pintail Point, at Queenstown, just north of Easton. It's "exclusive".
I've been up to St. Michael's a bunch of times, I would love to buy a place there.
He and Lynn have their nerve living their lives and traveling while NO is in trouble! /sarcasm
Yeah, he might even go there on a hunting trip and take Supreme Court justices with him!
