You're right about Roberts. Probably right about the second one, though if Bush plays his cards right (Edith Clement of Louisiana), he won't have much trouble with that confirmation hearing.

I wanted to see Scalia as Chief but I don't always get what I want.
With that said, I am wondering here in almost complete ignorance. What duties and responsibilities does the Chief have that the other Justices don't?
