Caught the tail end when Parks was described as a former Republican candidate.
It goes without say, that a Democrat offering his opinion would not be described as a Democrat.

Heard the interview.
He said that the fault of implying that Blacks aren't getting help in N. O. is on the media for their eratic and unsubstantiated reporting. The media is making the problem appear worse by playing up the negative perspective.
Aside from slammning the "people who make money on race baiting" and naming names, Jesse Jackson, etc., he said the blame for the lack of water and food at the Superdome should be placed squarely on the "people on the ground that were there".
At last, the voice of reason. NOT Bush's fault.

So naturally, half way through his response, the announcer says... “We 'gotta button this up.”

It was disgusting. Of course, I never shy away from an argument with her. The rest just roll their eyes. There were a few tense moments.
