Well... I gotta say that there is simply no evidence against this guy. I mean he is more than likely guilty, but there is simply no evidence to prosecute him. You can't continously hold the guy in jail if they have nothing on him to build a case. There was probably bungling on the part of the Aruban authorities in the beginning of the investigation.
The burden was on the prosecution to prove that a crime had been committed Obviously, they couldn't prove that. So, he was let go.

As far as you (we) know. Other than the FACT that all three of these guys LIED and changed their stories multiple times. This is the problem with Aruba -- they can and do withhold information from the public. It all smells of fish to me....
