Strange feel to the flow of news, etc., today - sort of like it's a "normal" day of chaos, as if we're becoming accustomed to it all. But it also feels like a calm before the storm in a way, like everyone's holding their breath, and I'm thinking it's because they're on the verge of starting to release hard numbers on the death count.

The Fox guy (I think it was David Lee Miller) had on waders, and said that was why he did. When you think of all the people who have been walking in it with no protection, it is scary. Fox just showed the shelter in Baton Rouge requiring everyone going in to use hand sanitizers. I did not see that locally yesterday.

The reality on the Astrodome floor goes like this among the media liberal whores like Oprah, Hillary, Penn etc.,

I will say this: Oprah was a calming influence to the people she talked to in the Astrodome. More celebrities ought to go visit these shelters instead of making fools of themselves in leaky boats or ranting lunacy on telethons.

Sean was begging Geraldo to tell him why the mayor did NOT use the buses to evacuate all of the poor, sick, and others...(this was after Geraldo was crying about how everyone at FEMA needs to be fired)...
Anyway, Geraldo told Sean that the reason IS: NO ONE would take the evacuees...he actually said that no one would take the people of NO...when they were being evacuated, so THAT is why Nagin didn't even try to load them on buses...

Exactly, those survivors aren't there to be poked and prodded for entertainment value so Oprahs "caring"
ratings go up. If these media liberal parasites aren't there to give actual aid and assistance in the form of counseling, food delivery, relocation assistance THEY SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A NUISSANCE and asked to leave immediately. Shelters are already over crowded.
She should have gone to the inner city of NO or the Superdome then, if she is such a calming influence.

Yes. It is very nice that Oprah cares about these people. it is not so nice that the implication is that nobody else does. It is an insult to those who truly have made a difference and still are making a difference.

I don't know...Geraldo wasn't making sense, and Sean kept talking over him...because what Geraldo was saying, was just so bizarre.
He made it sound like the cities at all points north or west had notified the mayor or governor that they did NOT want them to evacuate before the storm in their cities...
I cannot imagine that at all, unless it was so close to where NO is...that their shelters were already full...but in that case, it was too close anyway...
I am just astounded at some of the stuff that has been spoken by TV reporters, politicians, celebrities and politicial hacks...

BTW...rememeber, the day after the storm, DUmmieland had post after post, saying that they wanted Mayor Nagin for the next POTUS!!!!
Well, I disagree with Nagin right off the bat... the exact same thing "would" happen in Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami... -- Well Los Angeles until Schwartzenger called in the guard.
