Well said! You really nailed it. I have nothing to add to what you've written at the moment, but I want to be able to refer back to this post later. I hope you'll repeat this on other threads for those who might have missed it here!
I have only 1 question. First of all you are DEAD ON! The "conservative" party the GOP sometimes is no better than the RATS. They spend like drunken sailors(No offense to the USN) and often do what is politically expedient rather than what is RIGHT. My quesion is, How do we hold our side's feet to the fire? I have nevre bought into approval rating polls and the like I think they are dead wrong. If so many people think like us how the hell does Joh F'In Kerry get 50%?
Please do not sugar coat it, just tell them what you really think. :)

There will always be great numbers of stupid people. They generally are known as the poor. There are no people who are both smart and poor at the same time. Not in America, where there are endless opportunities to not be poor, if you are not stupid. It is a sad admission, but America is CRAMMED FULL of stupid people, because many choose to be taken care of by government largess, rather than to work for themselves. They are stupid.
Now, it is possible to be rich and stupid too; take Hollywood for example. But the rich and stupid are generally also known as the 'guilty'. They know they are stupid, so they feel they don't deserve their riches unless they can be seen to care about the poor. That drives them to act like Sean Penn.
The other reason is that there is a LOT of cheating going on during elections. I would not look at it as John Kerry getting 50% of any category. I would look at it as John Kerry getting 100% of the Stupid vote.
Smart people know that there will always be stupid people, as long as their money is confiscated to feed stupid people. Imagine if stupid people had a choice between getting smarter and starving?
Poof, no more stupid people.
